Below is a video of a radiation damage cascade as simulated with molecular dynamics. A brief summary:
- 440,000 carbon atoms in a box 157 Å x 153 Å x 153 Å.
- Simulation at 300K for 3 ps.
- Incident energy of 2.5 keV.
- Uses an in house MD code incorporating EDIP
- Videos below are produced with the visualisation software AVAS.
